In Ghana, an estimated 45% of food is lost or wasted each year, much of it at the postharvest stage — impacting farmer incomes, food security, and the environment. 
Since 2022, Food For All Africa’s Agricultural Food Loss Recovery Program has been recovering surplus farm produce and redirecting it to vulnerable communities.
As a member of The Global FoodBanking Network’s Agricultural Recovery Hub, we are gaining the training, technical expertise, and strategic support needed to scale on-farm recovery systems and strengthen partnerships across the value chain.
Our vision is clear: recover 10 million kilograms of surplus food by 2030 — turning food loss into food security and climate action.
